Concerning the end-time, God is doing something different than what we as Christians may have expected. A lot of people have the idea of a rapture with Christians being drawn away. Yet according to Matthew 25, “When the Son of Man comes, … all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats” (Matthew 25:31–32).[1] God is dealing with nations, so watch around the globe as things begin to progress.
The Kingdom is inherited by the sheep nations. When Christ comes, “He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world’” (Matthew 25:33–34). We will see an allegiance among sheep nations because of their ability to be an atmosphere, to be a greenhouse in which the sons of God are coming forth. And those nations will be blessed. That was the original promise to Abraham: “In you all the families [tribes, nations] of the earth will be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). Of course, individuals will be blessed, but we should be looking for something much bigger. God’s thoughts are bigger than our thoughts. He is gathering nations together and dealing with them (Psalm 2; Isaiah 2:4).
By faith we release the sheep nations to be drawn together. Malachi says, “You will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him” (Malachi 3:18). That is going to manifest on a national level. You will see nations opening their hearts in a liberty for God to move among the people. While I do not believe that the United States is a Christian nation, I do believe that it has been an atmosphere in which Christians can thrive and grow.
The world scene can change quickly. The sheep nations must find a way to league themselves in a symbiotic relationship with one another. The Mexican people and the people of the United States have a destiny to fulfill together. The same is true with Canada. There is a destiny that we must fulfill. Who is going to stand in faith and bind the spiritual forces of wickedness? There are places like Kenya—talk about a people who love God! There is such a hunger in their hearts. Just as we believe for individuals to be saved, we should also look for whole nations to be saved from the judgments to come.
The nations are facing problems that are unsolvable. Look for answers that are different than anything we have known in the past. Things are going to happen that will bring national leaders and people to their knees seeking God because there will not be any other solution. When disasters hit, we will say, “Lord, You’re the answer!”
God is not the source of anarchy. Instead, He is raising up a global spiritual force in the Body of Christ to come together and see things changed among the nations. They will be like Elijah the prophet who directly affected the political scene because he moved from a higher source with a spiritual ability that dealt with kings and their armies. God is again raising up prophets who will have the spiritual perception and authority to see the nations of this world change. The earth is the Lord’s and all it contains (Psalm 24:1). And that includes the nations.
