The feast of Passover is an important time for Christian believers to celebrate. It is one of the key center points of the Scriptures. Other than seeing Christ come forth in the Earth, Passover is one of the main times when God brings about a tremendous transition. Before this time, God has only worked with individuals. Abraham. Isaac. Jacob. Now, all of a sudden, He is creating for Himself a people. This is a huge change that transpires in the Scriptures. Passover is a time that the children of Israel—and now Christian believers—will celebrate throughout eternity.

When God appears to Moses in the burning bush, He says, “Listen, I have heard the cry of my people. I am coming down now to deliver them and I am sending you to do it.”

In one of the greatest times in the Scriptures with the greatest miracles and the greatest deliverance, we see this interesting dynamic—that God uses human instruments to accomplish and work His will in the things that He plans to do on Earth. We see God saying, “I have come to deliver them. I am sending you.”

As we go into the time of Passover, we should keep in mind that this is not some feast far gone in time. It is a celebration for us today. We are to draw strength from the sense that God will use us today as He used Moses. So like Moses, we have this great promise that once we have obeyed the will of God, we are going to receive what was promised to us. He is going to come through. We will not shrink back from all that the Lord is putting in our hands.

God prepared Moses through all the phases of his life. Everything Moses went through was God preparing him to be His vessel to bring forth the will of God and His deliverance to His people. The great lesson of this story is that God accomplishes His miracles and brings His will by working through human instruments. He has done this in all generations and He will do it again in our generation.

2. Remember that Moses was used by God despite his problems and inabilities. It does not matter what Moses was not, it only matters what God is.
