Worship will become the most important function of the Body of Christ. As Christ’s beauty and His wonder are unveiled to us, we will stand in His presence to worship Him as we have never dreamed possible. In awe we will sense God’s presence so much with us that, like Yeshua (Jesus), we will have a direct line of communication with the Father (John 5:19).
By setting our hearts to worship, we will enter into a place beyond faith where nothing can defeat us. In ancient Babylon, the three Hebrew youths were commanded to fall down and worship the golden image on the plain of Dura or be thrown into a blazing fiery furnace. They responded, “O Nebuchadnezzar, … our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But even if He does not, … we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up” (Daniel 3:16–18).[i] If we want to prevail, we must have that kind of dedication to worship the Lord. If our hearts are set to worship God in spirit and in truth, then nothing will prevail against us because that is what the Father is seeking (John 4:23). Fire cannot burn us, water cannot drown us, and satan cannot put us down. We may be tested as the three Hebrews were, but the angel of the LORD walked among them in the intense heat. The flames only burned the ropes that bound them, and they came out of the furnace without even the smell of smoke on their clothing (Daniel 3:24–27).
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are Mine!
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
For I am the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” (Isaiah 43:1-3)
The Spirit is bringing us into a new level of worship where we will literally stand in the presence of our Father. We are precious in His sight, and He declares to us: “I am the LORD, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King” and “the people whom I formed for Myself will declare My praise” (Isaiah 43:15, 21). This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes!
The breakthrough will come as we stand and worship so completely in the Lord’s presence that He reveals Himself to each one of us directly. John the Beloved saw the Lord, whose eyes were like a flame of fire, and fell at His feet as a dead man (Revelation 1:14, 17). That is exactly what the Lord is leading the Body of Christ into. We must come into an awesome worship that opens up revelation of the King Himself. Then shall we know if we “press on to know the LORD” (Hosea 6:3). As the new covenant worship is fully established, no one will teach his neighbor to know the LORD, “‘For they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them’ declares the LORD” (Jeremiah 31:34). This level of worship will remove all the veils and barriers. When the glory of the Lord returns, His sons will be established as the governing element—the ruling order of the kings and priests. It is the consummation of the ages, and God’s presence is hovering closely over the earth seeking His worshipers.
