Expect a Great Outpouring

God has spoken many promises for this generation and we want to see them fulfilled here on earth. The Body of Christ today is a generation of destiny. It is time for us to rise up, step into our destiny, and become what the Lord needs in the earth today.

The time between Passover and Pentecost for the disciples of Yeshua (Jesus) was a time when Christ appeared to them and they received a transformation of their hearts and minds through their experience in the upper room. Through their prayers and deep seeking of God’s will, a divine intervention occurred at Pentecost. Peter boldly stated, “This is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel” (Acts 2:16).[i] They were witnessing it happen; seeing, hearing, and feeling the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

Like that generation, we are supposed to experience the fulfillment of the Word of God today, both personally and collectively. We must be driven and aligned with what God has spoken so that we can experience it in the physical realm. Pentecost is about the manifestation of the Word of God in our midst. We must keep an awareness in our hearts and prayers that, at some moment in time, every Word that God has ever spoken through His chosen vessels will be fulfilled. We are to be those believers who boldly say, “This is the fulfillment of the Word God spoke.”

An important and exciting promise for us today is found in Joel 2:28, “I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind.” Peter also used this Scripture on the Day of Pentecost. “‘AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,’ God says, ‘THAT I WILL POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND’” (Acts 2:17).

Yeshua told His disciples to pray, “Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:9-10). Today, as believers, we persistently pray with the Father’s heart for His Kingdom to be manifested on this earth. Perhaps we could envision God being Creator and Architect of His Kingdom and we are those who see it built in the physical realm on earth.

God does not speak prophecies with a fulfillment date stamp on them. His promises will not come to pass without our participation. God wants a people to partner with Him to trigger their fulfillment. Write down what the Holy Spirit shows you from the Word of God that the Father wants to fulfill, and begin to declare it.

We are those who build the bridge between the Word God spoke and the Word of God manifested in the earth. True answers and breakthroughs will come in the world today when we understand our part as bridge builders. When the fulfillment seems impossible, we throw aside the impasses and reach into the Holy Spirit for the power to become those who are the catalyst.

The 120 in the upper room were obedient to Christ (Acts 1:12-15). As they prayed and allowed their hearts to be knit together as one, they triggered the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that birthed the early Church. We take on this same drive. We let our hearts be brought into alignment with God’s will and His Kingdom. The Father is crying for the rest of His family who do not yet know Him to find His love and forgiveness. He has promised to pour out His Spirit on all mankind (Acts 2:17). Together, as the Body of Christ, we choose to trigger this great outpouring of God’s Spirit on the whole earth. Let it be now!
