Today, Step into His Glory

The glory of God is the fullness of His presence. It cannot help but be creative and change things—it is God. We are transformed from glory to glory by being in the presence of our Father, and then we become transformational to everything around us. All creation “will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God” by the glory that rests on us (Romans 8:21).1 Futility as we know it is simply the creation devoid of God’s presence. But just as we are transformed by standing in the presence of the Father, so creation will be reinfused with the presence of God and be transformed by being in our presence. You must understand that this glory is literally the reality of God’s presence.

Praying in the Spirit is a very definite way to step into the presence of the Lord because it is the Holy Spirit infilling us (Ephesians 6:18). We are created in God’s very image and our spirits can meld back into Him. Just sit down for three minutes and will your spirit to be in God’s presence. In fact, go another step and be immersed in Him. Set your will that your spirit be one with the Father, one with the Son, one with the Holy Spirit, and one with the cloud of witnesses, the spirits of righteous men made perfect (Hebrews 12:22–24). Then begin to pray in the Spirit. If you can only do it for thirty seconds, then start there. If you can only do it for two minutes, start there. But I guarantee you, something will happen because you will be in the presence of God; you will be in the presence of His glory, and you will be transformed as a result. That is God’s promise. We are transformed from glory to glory into His same image (2 Corinthians 3:18).

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father and He will usher us into the Father’s presence. We are not left as orphans because the Spirit is the presence of God brought alongside as our Helper to guide us (John 14:16–18, 26). The Spirit knows how to lead and direct us there. That is one of the reasons why our prayer in the Spirit is so effective because we are moving into this relationship with the Spirit and letting Him take control. We are letting Him direct. We cry in our hearts, “Father, I want to see You. Show me Your glory! I want to know You and the power of Your resurrection.” The Holy Spirit is going to take us into the presence of the Father and into the presence of the Son.

Yeshua (Jesus) gave us His glory and wants us to be with Him (John 17:22–24). He opened the door for us to stand in the presence of the Father. So today by faith we enter the glory and presence of our God and Father to receive what He is looking for in a relationship with His people (John 20:17). We must have a determination and a drive in us that says, “We are not going to be denied; we are not going to relent. We are going to have what God promised us.” It is His Spirit that we are immersing ourselves into. We recognize in our hearts that now is the time. Today we enter in by faith and just step into the glory and presence of our God.
