God has always been looking to create Israel as an example of faith, righteousness, and a walk with God that the Gentile nations could observe and follow. Yet now we see the news media turning very much against Israel as they face growing anti-Semitism around the world. As a result, the enemies of Israel are being emboldened by some of the protests and actions that are taking place.
Please be in prayer with me and many others who are supporting Israel. This is a prayer of urgency that God fulfill His Word. We will see with our eyes and hear with our ears the fulfillment of what God has spoken by His Word over the Jewish people. Do not put their deliverance off until sometime in the future. It will take an intensity in our hearts and minds and spirits to impact the realm of spirit and see these things manifest.
Our support of Israel is absolutely grounded in the biblical text. It is a mandate to the Gentile Church that we are to comfort God’s people (Isaiah 40:1). We are to be part of what God is doing in bringing the Jewish people back to the land and seeing the land restored and blessed. We love the Jewish people. And in our love and support, we are building on the foundation of the Scriptures themselves. The blessings that God is proclaiming in His Word are solidified before Him. They are a covenant that will be fulfilled, and they will take place before our very eyes. God will never forsake His chosen people Israel (Jeremiah 31:35–36).
When God fulfills His Word over Israel, then the nations will know that He is God. He will vindicate the holiness of His great name that has been profaned among the nations: “‘Then the nations will know that I am the LORD,’ declares the Lord GOD, ‘when I prove Myself holy among you in their sight’” (Ezekiel 36:23).[1] This to me is such a key. God will fulfill His Word in a way that glorifies and vindicates the holiness of His name.
God will prove that His Word is true. Every Word that God has spoken will be fulfilled because of God Himself—because He has stamped it with the authority of His name. He has made a covenant by the oath of Himself to the nation and people of Israel, and He is using this relationship with Israel to prove Himself to all the earth. God will give them a new spirit to walk in His statutes and be careful to observe His ordinances. He will give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them (Ezekiel 36:24–30). Therefore, they will live in the land. What a beautiful promise!
God is planting the Jewish people in the land with all His heart and with all His soul (Jeremiah 32:38–41). He is bringing about the blessing to them that has been prophesied in His Word. And we determine with an intensity that we will see these Words fulfilled with our eyes. They are not for another generation; they need to be finalized now. The ultimate fulfillment of the Word is that God glorifies Himself, not just before Israel but before all the nations of the world. That is the end game. That is what we are looking to see happen. Therefore, our prayer is, “Lord, glorify Yourself through the fulfillment of your Word.” Amen.
