We live in the hour of Christ’s return. So we must get rid of the conditioning that we have to an invisible Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father. We are conditioned to not seeing Him, not talking to Him, and not breaking bread with Him. So now the Lord is saying, “Be careful! The way you walked with Me yesterday is now today’s unbelief.” Thomas walked with Yeshua (Jesus) in the flesh. So after the resurrection, he insisted, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe” (John 20:25).[1] Yeshua responded, “Wait a minute, Thomas. You were around me when I walked on earth as the Son of Man, but now I am appearing in a new way. Now if you demand that same relationship with Me, it is unbelief.”
Today we are in a time when God is warning the Church, “I am doing something new. I am looking to appear to you and relate to you in ways you have never known before.” Just because we have never experienced something, it does not mean that God is not going to do it. I do not want to have unbelief that comes from my conditioning. When Christ moves, just keep your eyes on Him and you will be okay. When He is being Immanuel, “God with us,” relate to Him as Immanuel (Matthew 1:23). When He is seated at the right hand of the Father and says, “Believe by faith—even if you have never seen Me,” then believe that way. If He comes back today and says, “I’m coming to you, and I’m going to do something different,” then just follow Him. Look for Him, fixing your eyes on Yeshua, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Yeshua is coming again “to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed” (2 Thessalonians 1:10). A lot of people say, “Well, He’s coming again, so we will be caught up in the heavens.” No. Wait a minute. The angels said, “In just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11). The disciples were not up in the air. They were standing right here on good old terra firma. They were standing on the earth watching Him go. And just as they saw Him leave, so we are going to see Him return. Yeshua is going to appear to us and be glorified in His saints. He is returning in us.
Christ cannot come again to walk as a single Man. God “gave Him as head over all things to the church” (Ephesians 1:22). Therefore, Yeshua must come within the Bride which is His Body. He is coming to possess His Bride because He wants to show Her off to the whole earth. He is going to indwell Her, relate to Her, and take Her as His own. Yeshua is coming to fill us because He is going to be glorified in His people. And God forbid that our minds would stand in unbelief in a conditioning that says, “Well, I’m looking for Him to come in the sky.” No, Yeshua is coming within us. God is working in us the ability to receive Him as He is now manifesting to His Body.
